Privacy Policy

YFPI Go is developed and maintained by SOAR Consulting Group, LLC, as part of the Vision 20/20 Project, a project of the Institution of Fire Engineers, USA Branch. This policy explains what information YFPI Go collects and how it is used.

Information We Collect

YFPI Go does not require account creation or login. The app does not collect names, contact information, or other personally identifiable information about its users or the youth and families they work with.

The app uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data — such as which screens are viewed and which sections are opened — to help us understand how the app is used and improve it over time. This data is not tied to any individual's identity.

Spark, the AI Assistant

YFPI Go includes an AI assistant called Spark, built on Anthropic's Claude API. When you send a message to Spark, that message is transmitted to Anthropic for processing in order to generate a response. Anthropic's own privacy practices govern how they handle that data; you can review Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

Please do not enter personally identifiable information about youth into Spark. Do not include names, addresses, case numbers, or other identifying details about any youth or family in your messages to Spark.

Forms and External Resources

YFPI Go links to PDF forms and resources hosted on SOARCG.com, as well as external sites including YFIRES and the Vision 20/20 Project. These forms and sites are governed by their own privacy practices, not this policy. Any information you enter into a downloaded PDF form is handled according to your department's or organization's own case management and confidentiality procedures — YFPI Go itself does not collect or transmit form content.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited, anonymous data collected through the app. Since no personally identifiable information is collected within the app itself, the risk of exposure through YFPI Go is minimal by design.

Children's Privacy

YFPI Go is a professional tool intended for use by trained fire service and youth firesetting intervention specialists. It is not directed at or intended for use by children, and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
