ARIA, Automated Risk Intelligence Assessment, is SOAR Consulting Group's platform for producing a complete Community Risk Assessment from your department's own data. It follows the same section structure, scoring methodology, and editorial standard SOAR has applied across its manually produced CRAs for fire departments nationwide, delivered through an automated pipeline so your department receives the same depth of analysis in far less time and at a fraction of the cost of a traditionally produced assessment.
ARIA builds your CRA from several sources working together: the organizational profile and special hazards intake your department completes in this portal, your validated service area boundary, your department's own incident and records management system data, public census demographics for the population you serve, weather and natural hazard history for your jurisdiction, and a national incident benchmarking dataset, so your call volume, response times, and fire experience are evaluated against comparable departments rather than in isolation.
What Your CRA Covers
Organizational Profile, covering your department's history, governance, staffing, stations, and apparatus
Community Profile, covering the jurisdiction's geography, development, and economic base
Demographic Profile, covering the population served and the risk factors that shape it
Incident History and Response Profile, benchmarking your call volume and NFIRS-coded incident experience against comparable departments
Unique and Special Hazards, covering the facilities and features specific to your jurisdiction
Weather and Natural Hazards, covering jurisdiction-specific events and exposure
Risk Scoring and Prioritization, with a Community Risk Reduction focused summary and recommendations
The result arrives as a complete, fully formatted Word document, ready for your governing board, elected officials, and community. One thing it will not include is photographs, covered below.
Your CRA Does Not Include Images, Here's How to Add Them
Your completed Community Risk Assessment will arrive as a fully formatted Word document, complete with data analysis, charts, tables, and narrative for every section. It will not, however, include photographs. Images are one of the most effective ways to make a CRA visually engaging and easier for your governing board, elected officials, and community members to read, so we strongly encourage your department to build a small photo library before your CRA arrives and add images throughout the document once it's delivered.
Most departments already have many of these on hand, department social media accounts, prior annual reports, or a records/PIO folder are usually the fastest source. Below is a section-by-section list of the images that will complement your CRA best.
Organizational Profile
Front exterior of each fire station
Apparatus and equipment (engines, ladders, rescues, brush trucks, ambulances)

Community Profile
Recognizable community landmarks (downtown, courthouse, main street, waterfront, or other easily identified local scenery)
Local businesses and commercial corridors
Topography and land use characteristic of the service area (rural, coastal, mountainous, urban core)
Demographic Profile
Community members and public gatherings (community events, parades, farmers markets) that reflect the population served
Unique & Special Hazards
